The hypodermic syringe theory means when public is affected by what they hear or watch. The theory suggests that the media is like a syringe which injects ideas, opinions, attitudes and beliefs into the audiences mind. A good example of the hypodermic syringe theory is- Two young boys had been watching violent films together and decided to try out what they had seen on a film which resulted in the murder of Jamie Bulger who was just two years old.
